Little Athletics events would not be able to run without our parents, they are an integral part of the day. During the Little Athletics season you will be asked to help out as an official or you might be asked to assist each week with your child’s age group.
Club parents on roster are responsible for setting up and putting away the equipment for each site on competition days. All parents should receive a roster of duties from their respective club. The equipment is to be set up by 7.45am for morning meets
To run a site we need a Key Official and a number of helper. Key Officials are in charge of the site and ensure that the competition is run according to the rules while the helpers will assist in to run the site. This may take the form of measuring, putting the high jump bar up or raking the jump pits.
It takes around 80 volunteers every weekend to run a competition so participation via a club duty roster to the allocated competition sites is essential.
